Street Theatre project Mablethorpe
We were thrilled to bring a brand new show to the Lincolnshire coast in summer 2025 .
Audiences joined Sully the Seagull on a fun-filled quest to find the chippiest chip.
On his flight, he helped some unlikely friends — a worm, a rat and a seal — whose homes had been disrupted by litter and pollution. Along the way, Sully began to discover that his mission to find the chippiest chip could become something more.
The tour began at Vintage on Sea in Sutton on Sea on 28 June, followed by Mablethorpe Illuminations on 26 July and Mablethorpe Carnival on 20 September.
The show was created by NEET young people from Community Learning in Partnership, Mablethorpe. They were actively involved in every stage of its development — from creating the story and characters to auditioning actors, making the set and puppets, and designing the poster.
Working with Hannah Peacock, the young people gained valuable creative skills while also developing soft skills such as confidence, communication, teamwork, and an understanding of the creative industries.
The young people were excited to work with two fantastic actors, Loretta Hope and Aiysha Nugent-Robinson, to bring their ideas to life.
This project was funded by East Lindsey District Council through the Lincolnshire Community.
