Since October 2024, we have been working with students from Christ’s Hospital School to develop an exciting new immersive, multi-space performance at the YMCA Youth Centre. Young people have been at the heart of the creative process, shaping the script, exploring ideas, and contributing to all aspects of the production.

Schools performance workshops
Young people have taken the lead in developing the concept and characters, collaborating with a scriptwriter to bring their ideas to life. The final production will feature 14 young performers alongside three professional actors, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.
Production workshops
Young people have played a key role in every aspect of the production, from designing the set, costumes, and promotional materials to auditioning professional actors and planning the filmed elements.

Community workshops
timeline painting for young people
Local young people will be invited to come and help paint two timelines which will be part of the set.
Animation workshops - St Giles Academy
Young people will create two short animations for the production, visually representing the journey through time. These animations will transport audiences from Lincoln’s Roman era to the Witch Trials and then from the Witch Trials to World War II, bringing history to life in a dynamic and engaging way.

As the outasphere closes in and our world teeters on the brink of extinction, you, our fearless group of missionaries ‘the saviours of the earth’ have been assembled as a last-ditch attempt to save humanity. Your mission? To progress through the Historical Simulation Portal, gathering vital intelligence before travelling back in time to 2025.
A pivotal year for life as we know it, where you can change the world, one act at a time. During your mission you will encounter ruthless Romans, jeering judges and callous C.E.O’s. Make haste earth saviours, for time is running out and the mistakes of the past must be rectified to ensure a brighter tomorrow.
Young people from Christ Hospital School have conceived this 30-minute immersive, multi-space performance. It celebrates the opening of the new YMCA youth centre and the importance of future generations in shaping and safeguarding our world.
